Adding product files for products that are downloadable when purchased
In regards to creating new products and uploading the zip files, this is a 3 step process.
1. You upload the zip files by going to Store Administration>Products>View file downloads
* in the File options select Upload and click perform action - this will allow you to find a file on your computer and upload it to the website
* each zip file format has to be uploaded manually
2. You create a product by going to Content Management>Create Content> Product-Embroidery
* here you add name,description, product SKU, price, upload images and select Category(catalog) that the product will appear in on the side menu, you do not need to worry about dimensions or weight. MAKE SURE THE SHIPPABLE IS UNTICKED in the product details. Click Save and Continue when you done but stay on this for next step.

3. Once you've created a product, you will then need to add attributes and options to the product(these are the file extensions the customers select for download when adding product to the cart). So still on the same page(product edit) :
a. on top of the product name you'll see different tabs click Attribute then Options to make sure the attribute called Format(may be called different names) is added and in Options all file extensions are selected.(this should be automatic so this step is just to make sure)
b. in the Adjustment tab you will see the list of file extensions and the main product code - you will have to combine the two by adding extension to the product SKU: if product SKU is bob and the extension is zip you add (type/ copy-paste) -zip to bob so it looks like bob-zip in the Alternate SKU column and so on to the end of this list. This creates sub sku for each file extension and links it to the selection the customer makes while selecting the format option for the product. Click Submitt.
c. Now you will need to associate the sub-skus with the correct zip file that you uploaded in the step 1. So click Features tab and click Add button next to File download.
* from SKU selection select bob-zip
* in file download section type in b (or any letter or number) and wait for the list of zip files to show up
* select correct file ie bob art.zip
* make sure that shippable is un-ticked (should be by default) - the file is emailed not shipped
* Click Save Feature
d. Repeat this step for all the sub sku/zip file formats (eg 5 sub skus-5 file formats-repeat 5 times)
e. Now click Product tab scroll down and Save
That is it.
This may seem complicated but once you've done one or two products its quite easy.
